If you guessed “MIAMI”… you’re right!!!  With news of the pending storm heightening over the weekend, I decided to get out of town before the weather hit.  So, I rescheduled my flight & flew out last night.  I wasn’t going to take any chances (not with my recent travel history)!!  Good thing – it’s my understanding the city of Omaha has more or less shut down.

The team was very gracious & understanding at rounds yesterday morning.  I hadn’t planned on leaving Eme for a full week & was feeling bad.  Dr. B said “boo hoo – go feel bad on the beach”J.  Good ole' Dr. B, we sure have been through a lot together over the past year & a half!

The boys don’t get here until tomorrow, so I spent today walking around Bayside Market.  I found some terrific deals ($10 necklaces), ate some very fresh seafood, and even got a (temporary) tattoo – “EME” written in Arabic.  It’s my way of keeping her close this week!  Sorry to everyone shoveling their walkways, but it was sunny & hot here today!!!!

I was told Eme cried much of the day.  She knows I’m gone & wasn’t going to smile for anything or anyone.  That makes me very sad.  She’s been heavy on my heart all day…

Ok, back to vacation!  Sorry for the short update, but I think I hear a margarita calling my nameJ.

P.S. - The cruise ship leaves Thursday.  It's a short 4 night cruise!
