What an awesome update! I hope you can have more days like you've been having! I bet the boys are loving having you & Eme home! I can't believe how big she's getting, it's hard to believe she's old enough for PreK. Hope things continue to go well! We're so happy that your family is all together finally!!

I have been following Eme's story for some time now and I think this is absolutely the best journal entry yet. I am so glad you both are home. Praying that Eme continues to improve and we will be looking for more wonderful news! Prayers from Texas.

Seeing the happiness on Emerson's face on the swing just melted my heart in a puddle! She is so amazing overcoming so much. Savor each moment. She is precious!

Oh WOW!!! Your emotions are just leaping off the screen. I pray that this is your new "normal" for a very long time to come.

Erika - I was so uplifted hearing the joy in your words! I could almost see the smile on your face as you were updating the blog. Those are the days/moments I live for too. They are the moments to remember when we feel overwhelmed. You have been on a long rocky road, and in your eyes I am sure you have aged, butI am sure you have never been more beautiful to the boys/men in your life waiting for you to come back home. I am sure Eme will thrive in Pre-K, the stimulation of other kids, normal activity, being a kid... that's what life is all about. Enjoy!

Love that song.
Love that you are so blessed today.

It brought tears to my eyes to read the joy your life has right now. Through reading your journal, I have tried my VERY BEST to enjoy the simple, even disagreements and struggles raising my twins and not take it for granted. You have helped me be appreciative and I thank you for that.

Woo HOO!!!!

Once again, your head and heart are in the right place to make the most of this moment. (And I am not just talking about the fantastic news about your physical location). Thank you for keeping my head and heart in the right place too!!

Yesterday Kara and I started digging through one of my mom's drawers of old photos. There were many photos of Andy and I as kids, together. The questions flowed, including whether I would want to re-live one of those days, one of those moments together. If only I knew enough to etch that moment into my memory, heart, and soul the way you are every day you have with Emerson. In spite of every challenge, you ARE BLESSED.

I also found an unexpected surprise that I will try to share with you some day when I have time to learn a new computer skill :) Until then, I will send oodles of prayers for many more Sundays at the Whites.

All my love,

Ellen

I am SO excited about all the wonderful news you were able to share today! And Pre-K too! You have made this asst. principal's heart soar, I hope they recognize what lucky people they are to gain her enrollment. We're meeting with a special family tomorrow at our school to discuss how we can support their unique enrollment situation. Have the very best day tomorrow and the next day too!
